Chapter 15. Pushing through barriers together is to reach unbridled freedom

While reading this book, you have no doubt already recognised things about yourself. What do you need to change in those areas?

The fetal aspects that had did not have much chance to fully develop in the womb can still be addressed now by diving into those aspects – the aspects in which we are vulnerable and less mature – and by being open about them with another, with a fellow human being. You must first make these aspects visible to the other person so that they can develop. Then you can rebuild an emotional connection with the hiatus that was created in a particular week or month of the pregnancy. Such a hiatus can even be related to the entire period in the womb.

If your 6-9 month period in the womb was a bad period, whether you were born prematurely or went hungry in that period, then you are more likely to experience later on in your postnatal life that you make optimal use of your analytical brain, so for quick thinking. This is the part of the brain you use first to analytically feel into a situation, to experience it, and to camoflauge the hiatus in this way.

An individual with a poor experience of the 0-3 month period is often skilled in quickly getting a feel for a situation. In certain circumstances, he will make less use of his analytical brain and will more spontaneously show an empathic reaction.

Those with an analytical brain will need to vocalise this to those with a capacity for empathy and vice versa. Ask each other ‘Why?’ so that the other will need to give structure to this information. Dare to go outside of your comfort zone here! In this way we help each other to become conscious of the period in which the hiatus occurred.

When there is a hiatus in the development and we become aware of that, we also become aware of the pain from that period; that is intimidating, it’s scary. It is difficult to confront this on your own in the here and now. That is why we need to push beyond our boundaries together to reach an unbridled freedom.
